System Operation

The wet cake feeder will continuously meter wet cake material into the PCX dryer. Upon entry into the dryer, a specially designed dispersion plate ensures intimate contact with the hot air stream being supplied from the gas burner. The dispersed and dried product is then pneumatically conveyed to the PCX Cyclone and Baghouse Filter receiver where the product is collected and discharged through rotary airlocks. The exhaust fan draws the system air and dried product through the PCX and into a cyclone collector followed by baghouse.

One Bepex International PCX Dispersion Dryer

A. PCX dryer constructed of 316 stainless steel in product contact areas. Unit is mounted on a heavy duty painted carbon steel base.

One Natural Gas Direct Burner

A. Combustion duct constructed of 304 stainless-steel shell with suitable structural stiffeners. The shell includes both burner and pilot peep sights, reinforced valve train mounts. Flanged inlet and outlet duct connections.

B. Pre-assembled gas valve train with inlet for Natural Gas along with main gas safety shutoff valves, gas pressure regulators, pilot solenoids, high and low gas pressure switch, modulating gas valve.

C. Remote control panel with start/stop push buttons, “E” stop button, indicator lights, Honeywell FM approved high limit, Honeywell PID digital temperature controller, burner flame relay, annunciator display, and alarm. The control panel is shipped loose. Air heater is pre-wired.

A. Twin screw wet cake feeder with double paddle agitators.

One Cyclone

A. Cyclone material contact to be constructed from 304 stainless steel

B. Interior finish shall be Bepex #200 finish. Exterior finish shall be Bepex #100 with any carbon steel parts painted.

D. Estimated efficiency is 99% of +20 micron material.

One Baghouse Filter Receiver

A. Baghouse and hopper material contact parts are constructed from 304 stainless steel.
